John Pezzulla is the Managing Director, Asset & Property Management at Weller Management Company. He is responsible for guidance, strategic direction and oversight of the property management team, along with mixed-use/commercial/retail advisory services and business development. John has over 25 years of experience in property and asset management, primarily mixed-use in urban environments, with an emphasis on placemaking, public space activation and operational excellence.
Before joining Weller, John was with Pacific Retail Capital Partners, where he oversaw a 1.5 million square foot flagship retail asset on 57 acres in the City of Raleigh, NC. and was involved in planning the redevelopment of the site into a future 57-acre mixed-use project. Prior to that, John developed and lead the commercial/retail asset management group for Bozzuto, providing oversight of 2.5 million sf of mixed-use retail/commercial space in 10 states and the District of Columbia. John began his career with The Rouse Company, in marketing and operations for Harborplace in Baltimore and Bayside Marketplace in Miami. He then continued his career with Struever Bros Eccles and Rouse overseeing management of Under Armour’s Tide Point campus, Belvedere Square and The Can Company and then Federal Realty, overseeing several signature mixed-use properties in the DC metro area. Including Rockville Town Square, Pentagon Row and the Village at Shirlington.
John is a graduate of James Madison University, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. John currently serves on several boards in Baltimore including the Baltimore Public Markets Corporation, Pigtown Main Street, Sail Baltimore and the Baltimore Dragon Boat Club, which he also co-founded.
John is a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) and BOMA Baltimore (Building Owners and Managers Association).
