Innovation and Planning Director
Yasmine Doumi is the Director of Planning and Innovation at Weller Development Company. In this role she is responsible for executing master planning, urban design, and digital initiatives across the Port Covington neighborhood.
Ms. Doumi has more than eight years of experience in design, construction, project management, and owner representation for multi-billion-dollar projects. She specializes in multi-modal mobility, campus management and planning, maximizing operation efficiency and creating a safe, equitable, and pleasant public experience. Prior to joining Weller Development she was the Development Manager at PN Hoffman, responsible for design, entitlements, and construction for Washington, D.C.’s Wharf waterfront for Phase 1 (opened in 2017) and Phase 2, including the garages, streets, piers, parks, and public spaces. She also led digital master planning efforts to leverage the Internet of Things. Ms. Doumi also worked at Jacobs Engineering Group as an owner representative for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority where she oversaw infrastructure, rail, station, systems construction, and testing of the $6.8 billion 11.4-mile Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (now WMATA’s Silver Line).
Ms. Doumi received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Maryland and holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech. She was also a participant in Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s 2018 Beyond Smart Cities program.
