Matt Jahromi is Director of Marketing at Weller Development Company. He joined Weller Development Company in 2019, bringing 15 years of marketing and communications experience in real estate development. Matt is responsible for building the brand of Port Covington, one of the largest waterfront real estate developments in the country. This role includes multimedia storytelling, community events, experiential marketing, public relations, and place-making. Matt also leads branding and leasing efforts for the buildings in Port Covington including offices, apartments, retail, marinas, hotels, event spaces, and more. In addition to the real estate portfolio, he oversees Weller Development Company’s corporate brand and communications.
Prior to joining Weller Development Company, Matt’s career has specialized in urban real estate development, including marketing roles at PN Hoffman focusing on The Wharf in Southwest Washington, D.C., and Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse and Cross Street Partners in Baltimore, focusing on Harbor East, The Can Company and Clipper Mill. Matt has also worked as a public involvement consultant for Baltimore City and State of Maryland agencies, and served in a communications role as an AmeriCorps volunteer at Habitat for Humanity in Baltimore. Matt’s energy for Baltimore, its people and neighborhoods is boundless.
Matt earned a BA degree in English from Franklin & Marshall College and an MA in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore.
