Jeff Baker has more than six years of real estate development and finance experience concentrating on urban infill, mixed-use development projects located in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. He is currently leading the development and execution of Port Covington’s Chapter 1 phase, overseeing all aspects of the real estate development process including design, entitlement, permitting, financing (Opportunity Zone equity / construction + LIHTC debt), and construction. He is responsible for 1.5M+ square feet of mixed-use commercial, multifamily, hotel, and retail uses totaling over $500M of ground-up development value.
Mr. Baker previously worked at The JBG Companies on the development team, where he worked on several large-scale, mixed-use developments including JBG’s current headquarters 4747 Bethesda Avenue. His other projects at JBG included 7900 Wisconsin Avenue, 4749 Bethesda Avenue, 5600 Fishers Lane (Department of Health & Human Services, 1M SF build-to-suit) , and the Signet Condominiums. His projects totaled 2.5M square feet and $900M in development value. Mr. Baker earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Cornell University.
