Director of Hospitality
Anjelica Butcher is the Director of Hospitality at Weller Development Company, a privately-owned real estate development company and master developer for Port Covington, one of the largest urban redevelopment projects in the United States. As Director of Hospitality, Anjelica curates unique and memorable experiences for a range of audiences visiting Port Covington, including potential equity investors, future tenants, business owners, local residents and special guests. She develops the strategy for multi-dimensional events in order to enhance the brand awareness across portfolio assets and promote cross-selling throughout the development.
Anjelica joined Weller Development Company, from Plank Industries, the private investment office of Kevin A. Plank, founder and CEO of Under Armour, where she was the Hospitality Manager. While at Plank Industries, Anjelica was a vital member of the Hospitality Team who was responsible for hosting regular, confidential, private VIP experiences. For example, Anjelica was integral in designing and executing luxury Sagamore brand experiences for former a United States President and First Lady, as well as politicians, athletes and celebrities. During her time at Plank Industries, Anjelica led over 400 VIP hospitality tours and experiences for potential multi-million-dollar equity investors in the Port Covington redevelopment project.
Prior to Plank Industries, Anjelica served as the Director of Catering and Marketing Sales at Nick’s Fish House, where she was the highest grossing Sales Manager in the Big Fish Restaurant group, achieving 20% average growth annually. In addition to managing at 20-person team, Anjelica spearheaded the Nick’s Fish House rebranding project which resulted in a 30% increase in catering sales.
Anjelica Butcher received her Bachelor of Social Work from Towson University. She currently lives in Baltimore City.
