Marketing Manager

Overview

 

The Marketing Manager will play a vital role in the organization by assisting with the development and execution of all marketing tactics and strategies for Weller Development Company and its developments. The ideal candidate will have experience in graphic design, social media management, and project management. The Marketing Manager will manage the operations of the Marketing department by scheduling, tracking and clearly communicating project goals and timelines, helping to ensure the team is organized and operating efficiently.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to, the following:

 

    • Design and produce a variety of creative pieces including marketing materials, corporate and sales collateral, and company presentations
    • Translate creative direction from management into impactful, brand-aligned designs for email, social media, web, advertising, printed collateral, and other marketing assets
    • Oversee corporate and project social media channels, including content development and managing third-party firms. When appropriate, this will include providing marketing services for partners or affiliates as a shared service or third party agency.
    • Track and report metrics for web and social media content; be the thought leader in social media and social analytics
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to create, support and execute content, social media and marketing campaigns ensuring content adheres to brand guidelines and delivers a first-class user experience
    • Represent Weller Development Company and our developments on social media through positive open dialogue to advance social media performance and grow audiences
    • Expand and foster social network relationships to test new features and build business development
    • Attend events to capture content for current and future social media and marketing use, including, but not limited to, taking photos, transcribing remarks, and post-event reports
    • Build relationships with tenants, partners and stakeholders to maximize storytelling power
    • Manage projects through the creative development process, from kickoff through concept inception to production to final asset delivery
    • Manage assets such as photos, videos, renderings, collateral, etc
    • Develop detailed timelines and project plans outlining the Marketing Team’s open projects
    • Lead cross functional communication around status, timelines & key milestones, creative requirements and content gaps
    • Track day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks, prioritizing competing needs with creative solutions
    • Aid the Marketing Team in running meetings effectively, ensuring there is a clear agenda and recap, attendees are well-prepared, and establishes clear next steps and owners
    • Ensure projects are being delivered on time by:
      • Following up with project owners to ensure they are on track
      • Preparing project status updates to individuals and teams
      • Developing project plans/workback schedules for multiple projects
      • Identifying potential roadblocks related to budgets, resources, etc. and proposing solutions and tradeoffs
    • Significant administrative duties including scheduling meetings, processing invoices, notetaking, and special projects
    • Acting as a go-to for external partners and serving as a liaison between the Marketing Team and clients and vendors

 

Education and Experience

 

    • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in graphic design and marketing
    • 1+ year of experience preferred in project management or account management
    • 1+ year of social media experience in a corporate setting
    • Minimum bachelor’s degree required
    • Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
    • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
    • Demonstrated competency in project management and/or execution of multiple or large-scale projects with various stakeholders
    • Superior written and verbal communication
    • Ability to organize information and concisely present issues, recommendations and conclusions
    • Process oriented with a strict attention to detail
    • Team oriented with demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively with others
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and project management software preferred
